- Your email address. Same domain, same addresses.
- Your apps. The Gmail app on Android, iPhone and Mac Mail, Outlook, Thunderbird or the web.
- Google Docs and Sheets. The free versions work with any email address, including your Sora Mail one.
- Your old mail. We move it across for you.
- Your contacts. They come across too.
What changes
- Your bill. A$6 a mailbox instead of A$12.98 (or A$5 instead of A$10.89 if you pay for the year).
- Where your mail lives. In Sydney, on Amazon's Australian region.
- No bundled AI. Gemini isn't part of it. If you want AI help with your mail, Sora Mail Plus (A$9) adds 100 GB and an API for AI agents.
- Workspace files. Download anything you need from Drive (Google Takeout does it in one go) before you cancel Workspace, because you lose access to it when the subscription ends.
- Calendar events. These aren't part of the move today. You can export your calendar from Google and import it, and we're happy to help.
- Meet and Shared Drives. If your team relies on Workspace's business features beyond email, Workspace may still be the right fit, and we'd rather say so up front.

Your domain stays exactly where it is. Only a few of its settings change, and we check every one of them.
Questions people ask before leaving Google Workspace
No. We move your old mail across for you. Google Workspace accounts need a Google sign-in to copy mail out, so for now our team does the move with you rather than you doing it alone.
Yes. The free versions of Google Docs, Sheets and Drive work with any email address, including your Sora Mail one. Before you cancel Workspace, download anything you want to keep from your Workspace Drive, because you lose access to it when the subscription ends.
Yes. On Android, add your Sora Mail account to the Gmail app and it works like any other account. iPhone Mail, Mac Mail, Outlook and the web work too.
No. Mail keeps arriving at Google until your domain is pointed at us, then it arrives at Sora Mail. Keep your Google account for a few days afterwards in case anything straggles in, and you won't miss a thing.
Because it's just email, done properly. You're not paying for a suite of extras or an AI bundle you didn't ask for.
In Australia, on Amazon's Sydney region. Incoming mail is stored on Amazon S3 the moment it arrives, before it reaches your inbox. We never show ads, never sell your data and never use your mail to train AI. Our staff only look when you ask us to.
Your domain is yours, so you can move it whenever you like, and you can download all your mail at any time. There's no lock-in.
